Female Athletes

In a letter to the editor, a female student speaks out against the fact that the Cavalier Daily's first female Athlete of the Week had to share the title with a male athlete, who was also selected.

Text	Female Athletes Dear Sir: In response to the recent selection of Athlete of the Week, I would like to express my extreme disappointment and dissatisfaction. In recent weeks The Cavalier Daily has chosen only one athlete to fill this position. So far these have been males. I find it odd that the one time you selected a female Athlete of the Week, a male was chosen to share the title with her. While I can appreciate the success of Cavalier running back David Sloan in our recent football game, I feel that placing an Eastern Collegiate Tennis Champion in the same category an outrage, Susan Newhall Engr 1
